Georgios (George) Sofianos is an entrepreneur who believes that through Innovation and Education we can democratize healthcare in New Europe.
Inspired by his family’s legacy in international business he took over the reins of SOFMEDICA Romania in 1997 after relocating to Bucharest.
George is a graduate of the School of Law, Economics & Political Sciences of the National University of Athens (Law) and of the Harvard Business School (Presidents Program in Leadership). Apart from his native Greek, he is fluent in English, German, and Romanian.
He has created various post graduate programs and scholarships for the benefit of healthcare professionals and students of Medical and Engineering Schools and is currently sitting in advisory boards of companies & organizations interested in the region. George is a founding member of Cleverage Venture Capital and of the Young Presidents Organization Romania Chapter.
