The 5th Panhellenic Congress of the Hellenic Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (HHPBA) took place from September 19 to 21, 2025, in Ioannina, in collaboration with the HPB Unit of the Surgical Clinic at the University Hospital of Ioannina. As the Association’s flagship scientific event, the congress focused on developments in liver, pancreas, and biliary surgery.
The program emphasized modern technologies and scientific approaches such as robotic surgery, artificial intelligence, surgical oncology, and molecular biology, aiming to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and train the next generation of surgeons.
The congress brought together surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologists, interventional radiologists, and residents, offering a high-level platform for scientific exchange and hands-on specialization.
SOFMEDICA actively contributed by organizing training sessions on the Da Vinci Xi robotic system, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience and explore the capabilities of robotic surgery in real time. Our role in the educational component of the congress strengthened our position as a strategic partner in surgical training and technological advancement. Through this initiative, we reaffirmed our commitment to innovation, education, and improving patient care outcomes
