The AMS 700 Penile Implant is the most popular AMS inflatable prosthesis line. Why? It most closely mimics a natural erection, provides rigidity when inflated and a natural, flaccid appearance when deflated.

The AMS Ambicor Penile Implant is contained entirely in the body and was designed for ease of use. This implant puts you back in control of your erectile function.

FIRM CYLINDERS FOR SUPPORT
RECOMMENDED BY PATIENTS
The Spectra Concealable Penile Prosthesis is used to treat impotence (erectile dysfunction) that is constant and that has a physical cause (such as a result of diabetes). The Spectra should be considered only after other less invasive treatments have been discussed with your urologist. These treatments could include vacuum devices, injection therapy, hormonal therapy, or psychological counseling.
The Spectra™ Concealable Penile Prosthesis is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, single-use implant that is intended for use in the treatment of chronic, organic, erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men who are determined to be suitable candidates for implantation surgery.
Spectra prostheses are provided as sterile, non-pyrogenic, single-use implants. Do not resterilize.
The Spectra device consists of a pair of cylinders which are surgically implanted, one into each corpus cavernosum, to provide penile rigidity. Each device consists of two cylinders (see Figure 1), and may include rear tip extenders (RTEs) for additional length in some cases. All components consist of implantable, biocompatible materials.
Spectra Cylinder
Each cylinder consists of an articulating section of alternating polyethylene and titanium segments. A cable extends through the center of the articulating segments. The proximal and distal ends of the cable are each connected to a stainless steel spring that is encased in a titanium housing. The proximal rigid section of the 9.5 mm diameter cylinders is 5 cm long. For the 12 mm and 14 mm diameter cylinders this section is 6 cm long. The entire outside surface of the cylinder is made of silicone.
The articulating segments, under compression by the cable and spring assemblies, provide sufficient friction and rigidity for the patient to position the device for concealment or for intercourse.
