Part of CONMED’s AirSeal® System, the AirSeal iFS is the world’s first “3 in 1” insufflation management system and features unmatched capabilities in providing a stable pneumoperitoneum, constant smoke evacuation*, and valve-free access.
AirSeal Mode – Use with Tri-Lumen Filtered Tube Set (ASM-EVAC)
Smoke Evacuation Mode – Use with Bifurcated, Dual-Lumen Filtered Tube Set (SEM-EVAC)
Standard Insufflation Mode – Use with Single-Lumen Filtered Tube Set (SIM-TUB)
Low Pressure Laparoscopy
Data shows that low pressure laparoscopy was previously difficult to accomplish due to the limitations associated with conventional insufflation. AirSeal System’s unique ability to maintain pneumoperitoneum and constantly remove smoke enables surgeons to operate at lower pressure without compromising exposure.
By providing stable pneumoperitoneum, constant smoke evacuation, and valve-free access to the abdominal cavity, the AirSeal System has been demonstrated to reduce procedural time, resulting in increased operating efficiency.
Part of CONMED’s AirSeal® System, AirSeal® Access Ports provide:
Unlike standard trocars, Access Ports feature a valve-less trocar design that gives the additional benefits of no noticeable friction as instruments are placed through the cannula, no mechanical structure to impede the removal of material, and nothing to smudge a laparoscope during reinsertion. They also feature a double-walled cannula, which enables the system to deliver CO2 through 4 nares in the distal tip, unobstructed by instruments inside the cannula.
The AirSeal iFS is capable of operating in three distinct modes, each of which uses a specific filtered tube set to maximize system performance.
AirSeal Mode: Tri-Lumen Filtered Tube Set (ASM-EVAC)
-Creation and Maintenance of Pneumo
-Smoke Evacuation
-Continuous Gas Delivery
Smoke Evacuation Mode: Dual-Lumen (Bifurcated) Smoke Evac Filtered Tube Set (SEM-EVAC)
-High Flow insufflation
-Smoke Evacuation
Standard Insufflation Mode: Single Lumen Filtered Tube Set (SIM-TUB)
